Why subscribe to this newsletter?

The target audience of this newsletter, which I often say is the labour of love, is you. Someone who is smart, curious, progressive, a staunch believer in India’s constitutional values, and has the patience to engage with a range of issues in a nuanced way is the reader of this newsletter.

The newsletter covers a range of issues that lie at the intersection of public policy, politics, and development with a specific focus on India. The dispatches in the newsletter are timeless and do not necessarily respond to news cycles or topical issues.

While writing the dispatches I also learn in the process. I have often changed my mind or developed a better understanding of issues after I have written a few dispatches on them. Therefore, often times you will observe that I will revisit the themes in my dispatches. This is deliberate.
